Retail:
Paragon Outlets- 500,000 sf retail mall in Grand Prairie, Texas. Rooftop units were the primary HVAC system.
Prime Outlets- 4 different malls located in Florida, Massachusetts and Maryland. The scope of work ranged from a tenant fit out, mall renovation to new mall design. Prime Outlets in Orlando, FL was a 850,000 sf, 170 store project. Rooftop units were the primary HVAC systems.
Key Bank Branch- replaced outdated boilers, pumps and changed 4 valves to be automatically controlled by the DDC system.
Education:
University at Albany: Service Building Complex Upgrades- construction admin services for 22,400 SF additions and renovations of two buildings on the Uptown Campus.
Syracuse University: Challenge Course building- electric radiant floor heat for a gathering room and electric unit heaters for an adjacent storage room.
Fabius Pompey Central School District-performed an energy audit on their systems. This included the HVAC system, lighting and controls systems.
Syracuse School District: Dr. Weeks Elementary- performed construction admin services along with the redesign of the major mechanical systems of the 114,600 SF elementary school. This included the air handlers, VAV boxes, chillers, cooling tower, added a heat exchanger and glycol to the hot water system.
Commercial Buildings:
O’Brien & Gere office space at Washington Station- The project was 3 floors of a 5 story building that utilized a heat pump system with a dedicated outdoor air, heat recovery system.
Niagara Falls Visitors Center- This was a visitor’s center with a separate office area served by roof top air handler units.
Galleries 5th Floor- This project was a renovation of an existing office space and used the existing equipment, relocating the fan coil units as needed.
Central NY Regional Transportation Authority- This was a 6,700 SF bus hub project that included a heat recovery unit and 5 boilers; 1 boiler which served the building and 4 boilers that served a large snowmelt system.
Dresser Rand- A new 2 story office building located in Olean, NY. This project included a dedicated outdoor air, heat recovery system with VAV boxes, a boiler and a small radiant floor system.
Clinton St. Laundromat- This was a laundromat in Ithaca, NY that
Government:
Niagara Falls Municipal Complex- This project was a large town multi-use facility that used boilers, heat recovery units and VAV boxes for the main HVAC system.
Fort Drum Child Development Center- This project was a child care center for children up to 6 years old. The HVAC equipment for this project was a geothermal system with water to water heat pumps, a heat recovery unit, 2 boilers that served a building radiant floor system and cabinet unit heaters.
Fort Drum Ammunition Supply Point- This project included a VRV system, with boilers and fin tube radiation.
Fort Drum 2060 & 2070 Hangars- The 2060 Hangar was a 62,000 SF storage hangar and the 2070 was a 20,600 SF two bay maintenance hangar. This project included boilers for the radiant floor system, direct gas fired heat recovery units and gas fired unit heaters for each hangar. Both hangars utilized a solarwall.
Fort Drum Training Support Center- This project had an office/training areas and a warehouse. The mechanical system included geothermal system with water to water heat pumps, a 100% outside air heat recovery unit, boilers, radiant floor for the warehouse and a solarwall.
Senior Housing:
Loretto- Cunningham 13th floor- This was a renovation of the 13th floor of a nursing home which included using existing Air Handlers, increasing the outside air to the floor and providing new fan coil units.
The Pavilion at Great Hills- This project was an assisted living facility with individual living quarters, a commercial kitchen, a dining area and various activity rooms. The mechanical system included a heat recovery system and heat pumps.
Residential Housing:
New York State Housing Trust Fund- This project involved technically reviewing over 25 housing projects for their engineering and green building design. The Housing Trust Fund had very specific requirements for the projects that had to be met.
Hamilton Homes III- This project included 10 apartment buildings that each had a forced air furnace system with a condensing unit to provide air conditioning.
Mass Ave Community Homes- This project included 16 apartment buildings 46 units that each had a forced air furnace system with a condensing unit to provide air conditioning.
SE Payne- This project included 19 apartment buildings 47 units that each had a forced air furnace system with a condensing unit to provide air conditioning.
Salina Crossing- This project included 10 apartment buildings 49 units that each had a forced air furnace system with a condensing unit to provide air conditioning.
Walnut Ave Homes- This project included 8 apartment buildings 41 units that each had a forced air furnace system with a condensing unit to provide air conditioning.
Sprole House- This project was a 6500 SF home with radiant floors, snowmelt system and split systems for air conditioning.
Ethel Chamberlain House- This project was a 4 story building. The first floor was a shelter and the remaining floors were apartments. Gretchen was the PE for the Energy Star for Multifamily High rise certification program. The energy model was part of the scope of work.
Healthcare:
Apollo Healthcare- This was a dialysis center with a separate office area in an existing building.
Hospitality:
Element Hotel- The hotel is a new 87 room, energy efficient, and environmentally conscious project. The HVAC system was a VRV and heat pump system.
